One of the sectors of commercial real estate that seems to be surviving through this pandemic is the industrial sector, despite having to shut down for a period of time.
In June we saw:
- higher list-to-close ratios for sales AND leases
- a slight decrease in available inventory
- a spotlight on Claremont NH as the “Center of Innovation in NH”
- manufacturers across the US expanding operations & creating new jobs
Work-from-home may be a viable option for manufacturing execs and those working in the office, but laborers in manufacturing jobs do not have that option. With social distancing becoming the norm, companies may be looking for larger space where they can keep workers 6 feet apart from each other.
